Carvana Cloud for Judge
Appointed Associate Judge of Houston Municipal Courts in March 2025. Twenty-one years as a bilingual prosecutor, defense attorney, and community advocate. Now running to bring a steady, progressive-yet-moderate hand to the bench of the 486th.
Without both, you cannot balance the scales.
The law alone is not enough. Service alone is not enough. A great judge holds both — in equal measure.

Legal Experience
Associate Judge, Houston Municipal Courts
Appointed March 2025. Currently serving on the bench with the same steady hand she now offers the 486th.
First Black Female Bureau Chief, Harris County DA
Returned to the DA's Office and made history as the first Black female Bureau Chief, advancing policy on domestic violence, sexual assault, and trafficking cases.
The Cloud Law Firm — 10+ Years
Operated her own practice for over a decade, gaining deep perspective on both sides of the bar — prosecution and defense.
Bilingual Courtroom Veteran
Twenty-one years inside Texas courtrooms. Every kind of case, every kind of day, in two languages.
“Carvana understands the mechanics of the law better than anyone I’ve worked with in two decades.”
Servant Leadership
Co-Founder, D.A.R.T. (2018)
Houston's Domestic Abuse Response Team — a high-risk mobile advocacy unit built to prevent domestic violence homicides before they happen.
Founder, The Empowered Survivor
A nonprofit designed to support crime victims in underserved communities — bridging public safety and public health with purpose.
Community Volunteerism
Showing up where it matters: food drives, schools, civic gatherings, neighborhood needs.
Mentorship & Outreach
Investing in the next generation of civic leaders and demystifying the courthouse.
“She doesn’t just serve the community — she is the community. That’s the judge we’ve been waiting for.”
A progressive heart. A moderate mind. The discipline of the law.

Experience you can trust. A neighbor you already know.
I am a child survivor. That truth shaped everything I became. It is why I became a prosecutor. Why I became a defense attorney. Why I opened The Cloud Law Firm and served this community for over ten years. And why, when I returned to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, I was appointed the first Black female Bureau Chief in its history — advancing policy on domestic violence, sexual assault, and trafficking cases with the urgency they deserve.
In 2018, I co-founded Houston’s Domestic Abuse Response Team (D.A.R.T.) — a high-risk mobile advocacy unit built to stop domestic violence homicides before they happen. I also founded The Empowered Survivor, a nonprofit created to lift up crime victims in the very neighborhoods the system too often overlooks. For me, public safety and public health are not separate missions. They are the same mission.
Appointed Associate Judge of Houston Municipal Courts in March 2025, I now bring two decades of bilingual courtroom experience, leadership on both sides of the bar, and a lifetime of frontline advocacy to this race. The 486th deserves a judge who has done the work — on both sides of the scale. Progressive in heart. Moderate in execution. Absolute in fairness.
Impartiality
Every person who enters the 486th meets the same standard, the same patience, and the same respect.
Transparency
A courtroom that explains itself. Clear process, accessible proceedings, no mystery to the public it serves.
Advocacy
A trauma-informed bench shaped by years of frontline work with survivors and families in crisis.
The work, on the ground.
